Fundamental Practices MLI's educational methods are centered on the development of three fundamental practices: a) Touching life deeply in the present moment to nourish peace, happiness, and fulfillment, b) Meditative investigation to develop understanding that inspires and guides the practitioner to c) Manifest appropriate action to embrace, transform, and alleviate suffering within themselves and in the broader community, working collaboratively with others and in the world. Development of Ethical Behavior Through the fundamental practices, MLI strives to develop ethical behaviors that include: a) The cultivation of loving kindness, generosity, and reverence for life for the benefit and well-being of people, animals, plants and minerals. b) The cultivation of wholesome and respectful thinking, speaking, and acting in relation to others including responsibility in sexual relationships to insure the safety and integrity of individuals, families, and society. c) The cultivation of physical and spiritual health in oneself, one's family, and society through informed and mindful consumption of foods, media, and conversations that nourish well being, growth and learning. Inclusiveness MLI does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, ability level, economic status, creed, or national origin. |

| "To meet everything and everyone through stillness instead of mental noise is the greatest gift you can offer to the universe. I call it stillness, but it is a jewel with many facets: that stillness is also joy, and it is love." - Eckhart Tolle | |||||||
